Strategic Development Goals
Improve accessibility of career guidance services for school-age youth, early school leavers, parents, and school counsellors, with special attention to vulnerable groups.
Strengthen the competences of youth and early school leavers for career planning and informed educational and professional decision-making through comprehensive and innovative, target-group-adapted career guidance approaches, including digital tools, interactive methods, and entrepreneurship-related content.
Enhance young people’s responsiveness to labour market needs by introducing innovative approaches to exploring shortage occupations and future professions in cooperation with local employers, Smart Specialisation Platforms (SRIPs), and labour market information systems.
Empower parents to actively support their children in career exploration and planning by improving their understanding of labour market trends and educational pathways.
Strengthen the competences of school counsellors in implementing modern career guidance approaches, including the use of innovative methods and tools that enable long-term, evidence-based talent assessment and informed career decision-making, as well as improved labour market awareness.
Reinforce cooperation among key labour market stakeholders (employers and employer associations, Employment Service of Slovenia, Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training, National Education Institute Slovenia, schools, PUM-O+ providers, etc.) and career guidance providers through continuous collaboration, consultation, mutual learning, and the creation of synergies between measures and institutional responsibilities.
