More About the Project:
The objective of the project is to strengthen cooperation between Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa in order to better align vocational education and training (VET) systems with local labour market opportunities in these less developed regions.
The project aims to enhance the capacities of VET providers and teachers, improve the level of competencies, skills, and employability potential of VET learners, and strengthen the knowledge base as well as the technical, managerial, and pedagogical skills of VET educators.
These objectives will be achieved through the implementation of the following activities:
Conducting research and mapping skills needs and good practices
Developing innovative vocational teaching methodologies, tools to foster entrepreneurial mindsets, and VET skills frameworks to support small business development
Creating the GSMESKILL e-learning platform and developing inclusive national policy recommendations
Disseminating project results through engagement with the private sector, international exchange, virtual workshops, and working groups bringing together VET institutions, private sector companies, and young entrepreneurs.

RESEARCH
Based on information and data collected from both primary and secondary sources, the project partners conducted research and mapping of skills, competencies, and good practices related to innovation, design thinking, and greening processes within small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) providers in Sub-Saharan Africa and the European Union.
These findings serve as a foundation for the development of training programmes aimed at strengthening the entrepreneurial knowledge and skills required in the subsequent phases of the project.
