#GIRLPOWER

The overall objective of the Girlpower project is to encourage girls across Europe to recognize their potential and become valued and respected members of society. To this end, the Girlpower project highlights women who have distinguished themselves through outstanding achievements and who can serve as role models for future generations.

To achieve this objective, a mobile application will be developed that presents stories of women’s excellence from the participating countries. Through these stories, the project aims to offer meaningful points of reference for today’s youth and to encourage them to strive for outstanding achievements or, more broadly, to act thoughtfully in their everyday lives. The application is designed to include cultural and historical content that complements school curricula. Women were selected as the focus of the application because we believe that the lives and achievements of the women featured can serve as a strong source of inspiration for girls today.

The project will contribute to reducing gender discrimination in society, and we believe it will help shift public attitudes toward healthier and more equitable perspectives. Although equal rights are enshrined in law in 21st-century countries, we believe it is essential for young people to experience equality as a natural and integral part of their everyday lives and ways of thinking.
